Law enforcement requests.
Effective October 9, 2026
Privacy is the reason Nodefy exists. This page explains how we handle requests from government agencies and law enforcement for information about our users.
Our approach
- We require valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order or search warrant, issued under applicable US law.
- We review every request and push back on ones that are overly broad, unclear or legally deficient.
- We disclose only the information the legal process specifically requires.
- We can't produce information we don't have. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect.
Telling users
Unless a court order or law prohibits it, or notice would put someone at risk of harm, we tell users about requests for their information before we disclose it.
Emergencies
If we believe in good faith that an emergency involves danger of death or serious physical injury, we may disclose information without legal process. Emergency requests must come from a law enforcement officer and describe the emergency.
Preservation requests
We honor preservation requests made under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f) while an agency seeks formal legal process.
Requests from outside the US
Nodefy Inc is a US company. Agencies outside the United States should make requests through a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty or another appropriate international process.
